I am a Registered Psychologist and Senior Scientist in the Child Health Evaluative Sciences program of the Research Institute at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). I’m also a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, Temerty Faculty of Medicine, and in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health (DLSPH) at the University of Toronto, where I am affiliated with the Social and Behavioural Health Sciences program and the Institute for Health Policy, Management, and Evaluation (IHPME).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My research program is in implementation science (IS), and I am involved in a broad range of IS research across health. I am particularly interested in the intersection of IS science and practice and in developing implementation capacity and resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Effective interventions that are not used optimally will fail to reap value from existing investments.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Acknowledging the Land and its People<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I would like to acknowledge that much of my work occurs on the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat and Petun First Nations, the Seneca and, most recently, the Mississauga’s of the Credit River. Today, Toronto is home to Indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island. I am grateful for the opportunity to share this land and contribute to the health and well-being of its people. I recognize the unethical and non-consensual processes through which colonization occurred. I acknowledge the seen and unseen privilege from which I benefit in many areas of a colonized society. I am learning how to be an Indigenous ally. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
